국가등록문화재 서천 판교 근대역사문화공간은 1930년 충남선(현 장항선) 판교역이 설치되며, 물자의 수송과 정미, 양곡, 양조산업, 장터가 형성되어 지역의 중심지로 번영했던 곳으로 근현대기 농촌지역의 생활사적 변화를 알 수 있는 다양한 문화유산들이 분포하고 있는 공간이다. 

기초, 현황조사 과정을 거쳐 근대역사문화공간의 보존·관리·활용에 대한 종합정비계획을 수립하였고, 문화재생사업을 통해 공간 일대 5개 건축물을 리모델링하여 마을에 필요한 문화시설을 조성하였다. 이러한 점(点),선(線),면(面)단위 계획을 통해 지역의 정체성과 가치를 발굴하고 새로운 지역 활성화 모델을 제안하고자 하였다.
 

As a designated national heritage site, the Seocheon Pangyo Modern History and Culture Space centers around Pangyo Station on the former Chungnam Line (now the Janghang Line), built in the 1930s. This area once thrived as a regional hub where the transportation of goods, rice-milling, grain and brewing industries, and marketplaces were established. It reflects the transformation of agricultural communities during the modern and contemporary periods and contains a rich distribution of cultural heritage.

with the basic existing condition research, development of the a master plan for renovation and maintenance was done for preservation, management, and utilization of modern historical and cultural spaces. For cultural regeneration that provides the cultiral center that is needed for the town project by remodeling 5 buildings within the neighborhood was done. Through these point, linear, and planar planning approaches the goal was to identify the unique identity and value of region and propose a new model for regional revitalization.
