용산공원 조성지구 및 주변지역에 대한 지형 자료의 수집과 지형 데이터 기반의 시기별 지형을 복원과 변화 과정을 분석함으로써, 역사성·장소성에 기반한 문화성이 깃든 용산공원의 한국적 경관 구현에 관한 기초자료 확보와 용산공원 조성 계획과 설계를 보완할 수 있는 원지형에 관한 기초연구가 필요한 시점에 진행된 연구이다.

용산공원의 역사성과 장소성에 대한 역사·인문·사회적인 가치를 심화하기 위한 분석을 하였고, 용산공원의 원지형에 대한 기초자료 조사, 분석 및 3차원 기록화를 하였다. 시기별 3차원 지형변화분석을 통해서 용산공원 주변지역과 연계성을 파악하며 용산공원에 대한 자료관리 및 아카이브 구축을 통해 용산공원 조성 정책 수립의 기초자료 제공 및 용산부지의 원지형 변화분석을 통한 정책(안)을 도출하고자 하였다.
 

The research was conducted to periodically collect data on the surrounding landscape transformations and the preservation of Yongsan Park’s construction. It aimed to provide a foundational study for the development of the site plan, as well as to refine the design of the park’s original topography, which holds historical locational value, in order to implement traditional Korean landscape principles.

Yongsan Park was analyzed to enhance its value in terms of historical, social, and local significance. The study, which included an examination of the park’s original topography and basic 3D research, was thoroughly documented. Through periodic 3D analyses of the landscape, connections between Yongsan Park and its surrounding neighborhood were identified, and the findings were systematically archived. Based on this documentation and archiving, foundational materials for Yongsan Park’s development policy planning were provided, and policies were derived in relation to the transformations of the park’s original topography.
